Pray 'tian gong'.....

…is a Chinese traditional for the Hokkiens…..
I am a Hokkiens…
So every year I will go my uncle’s house to pray ‘Tian Gong’
It has a story behind it…
My mom often told us the story when we are young(This is from my grandma. great grandma and so on..)
It said that on the 8th day of Chinese New Year...

The hokkiens hid themself in the sugarcane plantation
As the armies move away, the hokkiens survived from the war many years ago....
So as a repay, the hokkiens will pray "tian gong " every 8th day of Chinese New Year with two sugarcane.....

This is why the 9th days of Chinese New Year are more important than the 1st day of Chinese New Year….
But in my case I think both are important for me….lol

my little cousin helping my aunty fold the "kim zhua"

posing with the yu sheng....
This Bug wanna share yu sheng with us...
We had ‘lao yu sheng’ today…
It is a dish where all the Chinese will eat on the 7th day of Chinese New Year….
(If I not mistaken)
The yu sheng that uncle bought was quite different from others…
It is so delicious…
You know?
The yu sheng did not put any artificial or I would like to say coloring…
It is just fresh vegetables and fish…
‘Keropok’ too…
This is the very first time we finish all the yu sheng at once….
Before 'lao yu sheng'....
after 'lao yu sheng'....

SEE!!!! my uncle did not want to waste a single things....
This means that it is super delicious...

Oh yeah!!
The Chinese herb soup (shi quan da bu tang) was so delicious too…
Every year we have this on the 8th of Chinese New Year…
It is our family tradition….
yummy!!!!!

We went for visiting too…
At my mother’s aunty house, we ate a RM 0.85 pineapples tart..
What so special about it??
It is just a NORMAL pineapples tart…
No different from others….*swt*
the NORMAL pineapples tart!!!!!
